When you see Hawaiians portrayed blowing a conch shell as a horn that is historically incorrect.  The conch and triton shells being used as horns is a Tahitian tradition.

The ancient Hawaiians used a section of bamboo fashioned into a horn - a Pu 'Ohe.  These Pu 'Ohe are inspired, designed, and made right here on Kauai from bamboo collected from a sacred grove in Kauai's lush interior.

Pilipo is a local artist and Hawaiian Cultural Practitioner who performs locally as a fire knife dancer:  www.ahilele.com

Each Pu 'Ohe is individually signed by Pilipo.
